We have this bird feeder and have had no problems with the squirrels bothering it. Would definitely recommend it.

I have two tube feeders and have them hanging from one of those wrought (spelling?) iron stands.

The stand came with a baffel attached. The squirrels here have not been able to get past the baffel except when the iron stand was tilted too much to one side (because the ground was very wet and the soil loose) and they then could climb the very slanted pole to get to the seed.

Also, we had it too close to tree branches one time and of course they jumped from the tree to the feeder! I love squirrels too though so I feed them separately.

I'm in Maryland about 20 minutes from the District of Columbia.

I have a tube type feeder like this that my birds love. Prior to putting it on the front porch, I hung it on the deck where there was a bannister. The squirrels found easy access to it and even chewed into the plastic tubing to get to the food. I found that hanging it from the front porch under the eve of the house where there was no bannister kept preditors from bothering it. This is a wonderful site! Keep up the good work.

I live right outside the St. Louis area and I have one of the plastic yellow tube ones, to attract small birds and I also have 2 more not pictured on here they are just regular feeders, and have not had any problem with squirrels, we did have a chipmunk problem with one that was located to close to a tree but we just moved it away from the tree and we have them on those metal "shepard" poles and have had no problem at all the squirrels come out by them and just join in with mouring doves on the ground picking up the scraps!! Which is fine by us we like watching them all :)

I live in Lincolnshire. UK. I own one of these plastic tube types of feeder, as I like to try and attract Gold Finches.

I haven't had any problems with squirrels with these feeders, and I know we do have squirrels visiting, as they pinch all our walnuts off the trees every year!

We have two feeders. One of them is this one and it works great if you want to keep the squirrels off of it. I have never had any trouble with squirrels with this one. It is well made and is of high quality. It is easy to refill and the smaller birds use it almost exclusively. They won't even land on our bigger one now. We bought ours at Walmart.
