
The relationship of a flower with birds is one of mutual benefit. The gardener provides for some of the birds basic needs, and help birds to reduce insect populations, while addressing us an inexhaustible source of entertainment. Birds take their role as predators of insects seriously. A single bird will eat 500 to 1000 insects in an afternoon.
Birds have four primary needs: food, water, shelter and a place to raise a family. As you see, these needs are fully met.
Food
Two types of seeds, white millet seeds black oil sunflower seeds attract the most common fish-eating birds. These two seeds should be a pillar in your feeders.
