Copper fountains are available in a natural finish and a clear coating. Copper turns green on the passage of time due to oxidation. This powder coating or clear coating is an enamel finish that has been cooked to the extreme heat and applied the copper surface to prevent it from turning green. To clean a copper fountain with this coating, you can use furniture polish and a soft cloth once a week.
Using car wax every two months you will keep the copper shiny fountain and protect it from oxidation. Do no copper coating because it will remove the enamel coating. If the copper fountain that you have white spots, you can use a paint stripper calcium lime.
However, if the fountain has a natural copper finish, do not use them off-calcium lime or wax. It will ruin the surface of the fountain. Instead, simply clean with ordinary furniture polish and a soft cloth.
