Butterfly Feeders in Blue Glass
The larger pedestal butterfly feeder is just as elegant and effective at attracting butterflies to your garden as any other butterfly feeder you have your heart set on, although I have to say that this is a truly artful piece.
Made of colorful blue glass, with glass bead decorations and a copper metal base, the look stands out in any color garden and will be admired by all your guests.

There is also a nice hanging butterfly feeder – although you’ll want to find a non-windy spot for it – that comes in blue glass. What is it about blue glass that attracts all of us to it so much? Perhaps because it was the least common color seen in glass for many, many years. Now it’s reminiscent of seaside adventures and summer days.

These two are the same great design and accessories as in the last two posts, only this time I’m showing you the white and orange versions.
It’s important to remember that both designs come with colored and co-ordinating marbles, in the same color as the bowl. So pretty in the garden!

Red Glass with Copper Heart Shaped Stake – Butterfly Feeder
This is another garden stake butterfly feeder – just to show you the difference in mood that a change in color can elicit. You might like to choose a color that is complimentary to your current flower buds, or that blends in. It’s all dependant on the mood you’re after for your garden and your desire to attract attention to your butterfly feeder.

Plus, different butterflies are artracted to different color dishes (based on their feeding preferences from actual flowers). In that case you may want to do a little research into the different butterflies in your area, and the types and colors of flowers they feed from.
Personally, I’ve had more success with reds and yellows than any other colors, but our summers are short here.
One of the surest ways to success in choosing a color for your butterfly feeder is to look around at the naturally occuring flowering weeds and trees in your area. If those buds and blooms are mostly orange – then you’re likely to get a higher rate of success with the orange glass feeder.
At any rate, even if you choose based on your personal asthetics, the local butterflies will eventually discover the feeder and frequent it. Just give it time.
