Everyone wants their 15 minutes of fame. If you are ever lucky enough to get your 15 minutes of fame, I'm sure it will be a feeling that you remember ever. For this small amount of time everything you do or say seems to be the most important thing in the world, people listen when you speak. With respect and admiration of millions would be surprising, but it would be good without the least respect and admiration of your parents.
Long ago I was told if I could give my child 15 minutes daily attention, she would always remember and treasure those moments. The 15 minutes of fame is that I called. You may say "15 minutes does not seem very long." When you stop and really think about it, between the church, TV, computers, phones, jobs, laundry, dishwashing, school, daycare, friends, family, husbands, wives, homework, recreation, and just life in 15 minutes can be difficult to find.
A few weeks ago, my son, then three years, asked: "Do you remember when we made cookies and babies were still in the womb? It was then that I am reminded of the importance of our 15 minutes, I was touched by his memory and saddened that he had been so long since we spent the time baking cookies together. I was extremely busy over the past year, now, husband, youth, infant, and twins, if 15 minutes of fame has become a lower priority. This year 2008 I put this time with my children high on the priority list, and I want to challenge you to do the same. Time should be devoted to something the child likes and does not answer your phone during this period. Some people may suggest transforming your phone off, but I say leave it on and if it sounds Tell your child "I'll remember, this is more important."
Another small trick is to not put a timer and do not ask your children "What do you do? Hurry is the only time you get today! "As far as our children know what the weather is not programmed, you just happened to say yes when your child asks you if you play a game. Sometimes it is difficult to think of things to do, I give below some suggestions, choose those that are age appropriate for your child. Elder your child is the harder it is, remember the quality time is better than quantity.
