Get A Bird Bath Dripper - They Work!

Here's a really neat trick to get more birds to your bath instantly!

Install a bird bath dripper.

Now many people do this by hanging a bucket or plastic milk jug with a miniscule hole over the bird bath so that water drips down into the bath throughout the day.

You're probably wondering how a bird bath dripper can be so effective. Backyard birds, who don't have a much in the way of scent glands more than make up for it by their heightened hearing sense.

The drip, drip, drip of water signals them that fresh water is nearby. Since birds must drink and love to bathe, they head out to investigate. Which lands them directly into your garden and splashing in your bird bath!

How you will create that dripping action in your bath is up to you. I used to have an old enamel pitcher mounted to a pole that hung over and dripped into our birdbath, which didn't look anywhere near as tacky as a plastic milk jug hanging in my garden. However since I like to move my bird bath around the yard every week or so, I found this arrangement wasn't really the best for our garden.
