Identify Wild Birds by Their Habits

Birds who:

Identifying wild birds can be difficult for first timers. Many birds have similar coloration or markings, but their habits differ.

This page will help you define a few wild birds based on their habits.

Take any link at left for identifying wild birds by their chosen habitat.

Once you've been through this wild bird habits list (and it's companion bird habitat list), you might like to have a look through birds grouped by size or the pages where the birds are classified by color.

Still Can't Identify the Bird?

If all else fails head over to the Birding Forum, post a picture or describe your bird  and ask for help identifying the bird. The Bird Forum works exceptionally well if you have a picture of the bird you're trying to identify. Many people who visit these web pages can tell you quickly the name of the bird you seek to identify.
